This is an invitation to turn toward it with reverence, curiosity and playfulness.
This does not only open sorrow.
This can also awaken joy, awe, gratitude, laughter and wonder.
Memento Mori gather to rediscover what matters most:
love, our Earth, the simple miracle of being alive...
this moment.
Memento Mori is a community, a practice, a journey.
Memento Mori means remember you must die. Wisdom traditions throughout history, from Buddhists to Stoics, have known that by opening up to our own mortality, and that of those around us, we can live according to a deeper truth and authenticity. Death can bring clarity to life.
We gather to explore what it means to be alive in the face of death. Our work is shaped by deep time, shared ritual, sincere conversation, creativity, playfulness and relationship with land and community. All feelings are welcome here.
