Memento Mori is all about connection, with each other, Earth, all life, the Cosmos. We hold gatherings that centre on the inherent wisdom in nature, creating spaces where it is safe to drop any cynicism, connect authentically and to experience wonder, joy and grief. To exist is a grand symphony that includes all this!
We bring people together through workshops, nature connection, creativity, sharing conversations, food, music and dance, all linked by an awareness of our finitude to help us appreciate each other and nature. We don't propose false positivity as a way of being in the world, but hope that together we can find the courage to be with and face the realities we exist in. By connecting in this way, we believe that we can create a wider container for both joy and grief.
At our gatherings, everyone is welcome to contribute, whether wisdom, writing, stories, song, food, but it is not expected that you have to.
Seasonal gatherings, walkshops, shared creativity and food rooted in land, life, wonder and mortality. We aspire to both appreciate this life and to feel what needs to be felt.

Afterwards, join us for a Tea Dance to celebrate moving our bodies while we are alive! Refreshments included at Effigy playshop.
